We are pleased to announce that Imen Tounsi and Maruti Patil, Doctoral Canditates No. 7 and 10 within the PATRON project, presented their research at the 9th European Conference of the PHM Society, held in Oslo, Norway.

Imen’s work introduces a convolutional autoencoder for fast compressive sensing reconstruction of vibration signals, while preserving the diagnostic information needed for condition monitoring and enabling efficient real-time applications.

Maruti presented his research on gearbox damage modelling at the Doctoral Symposium of the conference. His work investigates how root cracks and surface pitting influence gear dynamics, with a particular focus on their impact on time-varying mesh stiffness.

The conference provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, receive insightful feedback, and connect with researchers and practitioners in the PHM community.
